1. Check the Serial Plate on the Unit
Every Hussmann case, coil, or rack includes a factory-applied serial plate.
Depending on the product line and manufacturing plant, the plate is typically located in one of the following areas:
- Refrigerated Display Cases – Inside the case on the left- or right-hand interior panel, near the return air grill, or near the electrical raceway.
- Monterrey & Chino Manufactured Cases – Look for the “MY” or “103/104” style serial formats on the factory tag attached to the case interior or behind the kickplate.
- Krack Coils & Condensers – Located on the coil frame; note that sometimes only the Order/Item # appears on the plate and is used as the Serial #.
- Suwanee Racks – Serial plate is mounted on the rack frame near the control panel.
2. What the Serial Number Looks Like
Hussmann serial formats vary by plant. Common patterns include:
- Bridgeton (Current): P######### (10 digits)
- Monterrey: MY##X###### (11 digits — includes year + month code)
- Suwanee (Current): 104MMDDYYYY##### (16 digits)
- Chino: 103MMDDYYYY#####
- Krack: ######-###-### (use the first 9 digits for lookup)

3. Tips for Successful Serial Search on the E‑Store
- Enter only the serial number — no additional text in the Single Serial Search box on the parts.hussmann.com homepage.
- Dashes do not matter: you can try with and without
- If the case is older and does not appear in the system, try searching by Factory Order #.
- For Krack equipment, use the Order/Item # (first 9 digits) if the MY style serial doesn’t display results.
